TOTO THU9690 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) How do I make sure I order the right TOTO cover and not a similar-looking one?
Order by the TOTO part number THU9690. TOTO cover plates look alike across models, so the THU number is the only reliable way to match the right top unit back cover for your fixture. If the number stamped on or listed for your existing cover differs, that part is not the same piece.
2) What exactly is the TOTO THU9690 part?
THU9690 is a TOTO replacement cover plate, specifically the top unit back cover. It is a trim/cover piece rather than a working drain or valve component, so ordering it gets you the outer cover only, not the internal assembly behind it.
3) Is the THU9690 a plumbing repair part or a bath accessory?
It is a plumbing replacement part used with TOTO washroom and bath fixtures. Property managers and maintenance techs order it when the visible back cover on the top unit is cracked, missing, or scuffed, and the fixture itself is still serviceable.
