1) Does the TOTO Drake toilet tank come with a bowl, or do I have to buy that separately?
Tank only. A compatible Drake bowl has to be ordered separately, and so do the wax ring, toilet mounting bolts (flange bolts), water supply lines, and the seat. What does come in the box is the tank-to-bowl gasket, the tank-to-bowl hardware, and the toilet bolt caps. The 1.6 GPF tanks (ST776SA) measure 17-3/16 wide by 14 high and weigh 32 pounds; the 1.28 GPF ST786EA tanks are the larger body at 19-1/16 by 14-9/16 and 34 pounds. For a like-for-like swap on an existing Drake, order the same model prefix that's cast into your current tank.
3) Which side is the flush handle on the TOTO Drake tank?
Left-hand trip lever is the standard configuration, chrome plated, and that's how the bolt-down-lid 1.28 GPF version ships. A right-hand lever version is also built, so if the toilet sits in a corner or an alcove where a left lever fouls a wall or vanity, specify right when you order. 6) Do I need an insulated tank for a bathroom that sweats?
An insulated lid option is built for the Drake tank alongside the non-insulated. At 32 to 34 pounds it's a comfortable one-person set, but you want the bowl bolted down and level first.
8) What colors does the TOTO Drake tank come in, and will it match my existing bowl?
Five finishes are produced: Cotton White, Colonial White, Bone, Sedona Beige, and Ebony. TOTO color codes run with the model number, so the safest way to match an existing Drake bowl is to read the code off the bowl and order the tank in the same one.
