TOTO TCU974CRE#12 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Is the TOTO TCU974CRE#12 just the tank lid, or does it include the tank?
It's the lid only. TCU974CRE#12 is the replacement ceramic tank lid for the TOTO Eco Guinevere one-piece toilet, sold as a toilet tank part. If your tank body is cracked or you need internal trim, those are separate part numbers.
2) What does the #12 at the end of TOTO TCU974CRE#12 mean?
The suffix after the pound sign is TOTO's color code, so TCU974CRE#12 is the Eco Guinevere one-piece tank lid in TOTO's Sedona Beige. Lids are glazed to match the bowl, so order the suffix that matches the toilet already installed. A #01 Cotton White lid will not blend on a beige fixture.
3) Will this tank lid fit any TOTO one-piece toilet?
No. The TCU974CRE lid is cut for the Eco Guinevere one-piece tank and won't seat correctly on other TOTO models. One-piece tank openings differ by series, so match the lid part number to the toilet model, not just the brand. Check the underside of your existing lid or the tank interior for the model marking before ordering.
4) I manage apartments and a tenant cracked a toilet lid. Is replacing just the lid worth it on a TOTO Guinevere?
Yes, and that's the usual repair. A broken lid doesn't affect flushing, so swapping the TCU974CRE#12 lid restores the fixture without pulling the toilet or touching the supply. It drops straight onto the Eco Guinevere one-piece tank with no tools and no fasteners. Just confirm the color code on the toilet matches so the unit doesn't end up with a mismatched lid.
5) Does the TOTO Eco Guinevere tank lid come with the flush handle or any trim?
No hardware is included. This is the glazed ceramic lid on its own. On a one-piece Guinevere the trip lever mounts through the tank body rather than the lid, so a lid swap doesn't disturb the handle or the flush valve.
