TOTO THU6699#12 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Will a TOTO lever cover assembly fit any brand of toilet?
No. TOTO trip lever and lever cover parts such as THU6699 are built for TOTO tanks and the lever geometry does not carry over to American Standard, Kohler, or Gerber tanks. If the toilet is not a TOTO, you need that manufacturer's own trip lever assembly.
2) What exactly is TOTO THU6699 - is it the whole trip lever or just the cover?
THU6699 is a lever cover assembly for a TOTO toilet, catalogued as a handle part rather than a complete flush valve. It is the trim piece you order when the existing lever cover is cracked, discolored, or missing, not a replacement fill or flush valve.
3) What part number do I give my plumber to order the TOTO lever cover assembly?
Order it by TOTO part number THU6699#12. The #12 suffix is the color code portion of the number, so quoting the full THU6699#12 rather than just THU6699 is what gets you the right trim piece.
