TOTO THU6213 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What exactly comes with Toto THU6213 - is it the tank lid itself or just the bumpers?
Toto THU6213 is a set of two toilet tank lid bumpers, not the ceramic lid. The bumpers are the small pads that sit between the lid and the tank rim so the lid seats quietly and doesn't rock. If you cracked or lost the lid itself, bumpers won't help you; you need the replacement tank lid for your specific Toto model.
2) My Toto toilet tank lid rattles and shifts when I bump it - will THU6213 fix that?
That is exactly what these are for. THU6213 supplies two replacement lid bumpers that cushion the tank lid against the tank rim; worn, flattened or missing bumpers are the usual reason a Toto lid slides or clacks. They adhere/seat on the underside of the lid, so no tools and no tank disassembly.
3) Are the Toto THU6213 bumpers for an elongated bowl toilet?
Yes. THU6213 is the bumper set Toto catalogs for its elongated lid assembly in Cotton. Bumpers themselves are small cushions, but order by the assembly number Toto assigns so you get the pair matched to that lid.
4) We maintain a building full of Toto toilets - can one bumper set cover different models?
Buy by part number rather than assuming. THU6213 is the bumper set tied to Toto's elongated Cotton lid assembly, and Toto assigns separate THU numbers to other lid assemblies. For a mixed fleet, record the toilet model at each fixture and match the THU number for that lid instead of standardizing on one bumper pack.
5) Do I need to order anything else to install Toto lid bumpers THU6213?
Nothing else is required. The kit is the two bumpers; you lift the lid, remove the old pads, set the new ones in place and reseat the lid. No fasteners, no supply line work, no draining the tank.
