TOTO THU6212#01 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Is TOTO THU6212#01 a tank lid or a complete toilet?
THU6212#01 is a replacement toilet tank lid only, not a tank, bowl, or complete fixture. It is the elongated Cotton lid assembly, so you are buying the ceramic cover that sits on top of an existing TOTO tank. If your trim is broken too, flush valve and fill valve parts are ordered separately.
2) What color is the #01 on TOTO THU6212#01?
The #01 suffix is TOTO's code for Cotton White, and the lid is described as Cotton. If the rest of your fixtures are Colonial White (#11) or Sedona Beige (#12), this lid will not match them, so check the suffix stamped on your existing bowl or tank before ordering.
3) Will a tank lid for an elongated TOTO toilet fit my round front model?
No. This lid is the elongated Cotton version, and TOTO tank lids are model specific, not interchangeable between tank castings. Match by the TOTO tank number molded inside your tank rather than by bowl shape alone, because the lid has to seat on that exact tank footprint.
4) I manage apartments and keep replacing cracked toilet tank lids. Can I order just the lid from TOTO?
Yes, TOTO sells the lid as its own part, and THU6212#01 is the elongated Cotton lid assembly. For a property with a standardized TOTO fleet, keeping one or two of the correct lid part number on the shelf is the usual approach, since a cracked lid does not require pulling the toilet or disturbing the tank trim.
5) Does the TOTO THU6212#01 lid come with the flush button or trip lever?
THU6212#01 is supplied as the tank lid assembly for an elongated Cotton toilet. Trip levers, push buttons, and flush valve components are separate TOTO part numbers. If your handle is also failing, order that trim alongside the lid so you are not making a second trip to the unit.
