TOTO THU9205 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Which Toto Neorest model does the THU9205 seat bumper part fit?
THU9205 is the Neorest 550 seat bumper part in Sedona Beige. It's model-specific to the Neorest 550, so if your unit is a different Neorest generation, order the bumper set listed for that model instead rather than assuming it carries over.
2) My Neorest 550 seat rocks and scuffs the china when it closes. Will new bumpers fix that?
That's exactly what the bumpers address. The THU9205 bumper part restores the contact points between the seat and the bowl rim, so the seat sits level and the porcelain stops taking the hit. Worn or missing bumpers are the usual cause of a rocking or noisy Neorest 550 seat.
3) What part number do I give a Toto parts desk for Sedona Beige Neorest 550 seat bumpers?
Ask for Toto THU9205. That's the manufacturer part number for the Sedona Beige version, and color is part of the number, so quoting THU9205 is what keeps a cotton or colonial white piece from showing up instead.
4) Is THU9205 a repair part for a toilet seat or a whole new Neorest seat?
It's a replacement component for the toilet seat, not a complete seat or a new washlet unit. If the seat shell itself is cracked or the electronics have failed, a bumper part won't solve it, you need the seat assembly for your Neorest model.
5) Does Sedona Beige matter on a seat bumper, or will any color do?
Color is specified because the bumpers sit on the bowl rim where they are visible against the china. THU9205 is the Sedona Beige version, which matches a Sedona Beige Neorest 550. On a cotton white fixture the beige piece will read as off-color.
