TOTO THU9917#01 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What is the TOTO THU9917#01 lid bumper actually for?
It is a drain plug cover for a TOTO sink drain assembly, supplied in the Cotton finish. It is a replacement part for the drain assembly itself, not a complete pop-up drain or a tank lid component.
2) Will a TOTO THU9917#01 drain plug cover fit my tub or lavatory?
This cover is catalogued for sink use. If you are replacing a tub drain stopper or trip-lever face, this is the wrong part, look for a TOTO tub drain component instead.
3) What part number do I order for a TOTO drain plug cover in Cotton?
Order TOTO THU9917#01. The #01 suffix is TOTO's Cotton colour code, and that is the only configuration this part is built in, so there is no separate finish choice to specify.
4) I manage a building with TOTO lavatories and the drain stopper caps are chipped. Can I just replace the cap?
Yes, that is exactly what the THU9917#01 is, a drain plug cover sold on its own as a drain assembly service part. You do not have to pull and replace the whole pop-up drain to restore the finished look at the bowl, provided the rest of the assembly is a TOTO unit that takes this cover and your existing fixtures are Cotton.
5) Does the TOTO THU9917#01 come with the drain body, tailpiece or pop-up linkage?
No. THU9917#01 is the cover alone. If the drain body, tailpiece or lift linkage is also damaged, you need the full TOTO drain assembly for that lavatory rather than this cap.
