TOTO THU9602#01 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What exactly is the TOTO THU9602#01 part for a NEOREST 550H?
It is the drain plug cover for the TOTO NEOREST 550H, a small replacement component for the drain assembly rather than a complete drain kit. TOTO's part number is THU9602#01, and the #01 suffix is TOTO's cotton white color designation.
2) Will the TOTO THU9602#01 cover fit a drain on a model other than the NEOREST 550H?
Order it only for the NEOREST 550H. TOTO ties this drain plug cover to that model, and TOTO trim parts are model specific, so a cover from one series will not reliably seat in another drain body. If your fixture is a different NEOREST or a different TOTO lavatory, look up the drain plug cover listed against that model number instead.
3) Is the THU9602#01 drain plug cover a sink part or a toilet part?
It is a sink application part. Despite the NEOREST name appearing on TOTO toilets as well, this drain plug cover is specified for sink use within the NEOREST 550H, so order it for the lavatory drain, not for a toilet tank or bowl component.
4) If my NEOREST 550H drain stopper is leaking, is replacing the plug cover enough?
Not necessarily. THU9602#01 is the cover piece of the drain plug, not the seal, tailpiece, or pop-up mechanism. If water is passing by the stopper, the sealing gasket or the drain body itself is usually the cause, and you would need the corresponding drain assembly parts for the 550H. Buy the cover when the existing one is cracked, discolored, or missing.
