TOTO THU9602#12 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What is the TOTO THU9602#12 part, and where does it go?
It's a drain plug cover from TOTO, part of the sink drain assembly. The cover is the visible cap that sits over the plug mechanism at the sink drain, so it's a replacement for a damaged, missing, or discolored cover rather than a full drain body.
2) Will the TOTO THU9602#12 drain plug cover work on a tub or shower drain?
No. The THU9602#12 is specified for sink use, so it should be ordered for a lavatory sink drain, not a tub or shower waste. For tub or shower drains you need the trim made for that waste assembly.
3) What part number do I order for the TOTO N550H drain plug cover?
Order TOTO THU9602#12. That is the manufacturer part number for the N550H drain plug cover, and the #12 suffix is TOTO's finish code carried in the part number itself, so there is no separate finish to select.
4) Is the TOTO THU9602#12 a complete drain assembly or just the cover?
Just the cover. It's a single drain plug cover, so the tailpiece, body, and pop-up linkage are not part of it. If the mechanism itself is failing, the whole drain assembly has to be replaced instead.
