TOTO THU199#12 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Does the THU199 cover plate kit come with a faucet, or is it just the trim plate?
Just the plate kit. THU199#12 is a Lloyd cover plate accessory only, no faucet body, cartridge, or valve included. If you need the faucet itself, order the Lloyd faucet separately and use this kit alongside it.
2) I'm replacing a widespread faucet with a single-hole TOTO Lloyd. Do I need this?
Yes, if you're keeping the existing 3-hole deck. A single-hole Lloyd mounts in the center hole and leaves the two outer holes open; the THU199 cover plate kit spans the deck and hides them, so you don't have to replace the sink or countertop.
3) Will the TOTO Lloyd THU199 cover plate fit a faucet from another TOTO series?
It's built for the Lloyd line. The plate's shape and finish are matched to Lloyd faucet trim, so pairing it with another TOTO series is a mismatch on both profile and appearance. For a different collection, use the base plate or escutcheon kit TOTO publishes for that series.
4) Is THU199#12 the complete part number I should order?
Yes. THU199 is the Lloyd cover plate kit and the #12 suffix is the TOTO finish code, so the full ordering designation is THU199#12. Give the whole string including the suffix when you order, since TOTO builds the same kit in multiple finish codes.
