TOTO THP4723#PN – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What is TOTO part THP4723#PN?
THP4723#PN is a TOTO laminar flow nozzle for the TB100DF faucet, supplied in polished nickel. It is the spray outlet piece on the faucet, so it replaces a damaged or clogged nozzle rather than the whole fitting.
2) Will the THP4723#PN nozzle fit any TOTO faucet, or only one model?
It is specified for the TB100DF. TOTO nozzle part numbers are model-specific, so match the faucet model before ordering; a nozzle from another TOTO series will not necessarily thread or seat correctly.
3) What finish does TOTO THP4723#PN come in?
Polished nickel only, denoted by the #PN suffix in the part number. If the other trim on the faucet is chrome or brushed nickel, this nozzle will not match, and you would need the TB100DF nozzle in the corresponding finish code.
4) What is the difference between a laminar flow nozzle and an aerator on a faucet?
A laminar nozzle like the THP4723#PN delivers a non-aerated stream, water only, with no air mixed in. Aerators blend air into the stream for a softer feel but create droplets. Laminar outlets are commonly specified in healthcare settings for that reason. If your TB100DF currently has a laminar nozzle, stay with laminar to keep the same stream character.
5) My TOTO TB100DF faucet has weak or splitting flow. Does replacing the nozzle fix it?
Often yes. Mineral scale and debris collect in the nozzle first, which breaks up the stream or cuts flow, and the THP4723#PN nozzle is the serviceable part for that. If flow is weak at every fixture on the line, the problem is upstream (stops or supply), not the nozzle.
