TOTO THU6696 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Do I need to replace the whole TOTO fixture if the operation guide or bumper is damaged?
Not necessarily. TOTO sells the operation guide and bumper as a serviceable assembly, part THU6696, so a worn or broken guide/bumper can be swapped on its own instead of pulling the fixture. That is the usual call for a property manager or MRO buyer keeping existing TOTO units in service.
2) What is the TOTO THU6696 part?
THU6696 is a TOTO operation guide and bumper assembly, sold as a factory replacement part rather than a complete fixture. It is the guide and bumper piece you order when the original has worn, cracked, or gone missing on a TOTO washroom fixture, and it ships as a TOTO branded assembly under part number THU6696.
3) Is TOTO THU6696 a genuine TOTO replacement part or an aftermarket equivalent?
It is a genuine TOTO part. THU6696 is TOTO's own part number for the operation guide / bumper assembly, so you are ordering the factory component, not a generic substitute. For a facilities crew standardizing on TOTO fixtures, that means the piece matches what the fixture was built with.
4) Are there different sizes or finishes of the TOTO THU6696 bumper assembly to choose from?
No options to specify. THU6696 is a single configuration, ordered by that one model number, so there is nothing to select for size, finish, or hand. Give your supplier the part number and you have specified the part completely.
