TOTO 7BU5001#CP – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What exactly is the TOTO 7BU5001#CP part, and is it the grab bar itself?
It is not a grab bar. The 7BU5001#CP is the small replacement set screw used to secure a TOTO brass grab bar cover (the escutcheon/flange trim) to the mounting post. If you need the bar itself, order the grab bar, not this screw.
2) My grab bar cover plate keeps spinning loose, do I need a whole new grab bar?
Usually not. The flange cover on a TOTO brass grab bar is held by a set screw, and when that screw strips or goes missing the cover rotates or slides on the post. Replacing just the set screw, part 7BU5001#CP in polished chrome, puts the cover back tight without pulling the bar off the wall.
3) Does the #CP suffix on TOTO 7BU5001 mean polished chrome?
Yes. On TOTO part numbers the #CP suffix designates the polished chrome finish, so 7BU5001#CP is the chrome version of the grab bar set screw. If the grab bar and cover on the wall are chrome, this is the matching screw.
4) Is the TOTO 7BU5001#CP set screw a universal grab bar screw I can use on any brand?
Treat it as a TOTO service part. It is sold as the set screw for TOTO brass grab bar hardware in chrome, and set screw size, thread, and drive vary by manufacturer. For a Bobrick, Bradley, or other brand bar, source that maker's own screw rather than substituting this one.
