TOTO 6HU5006 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Do I get a whole grab bar or just the screw when I order 6HU5006?
Just the screw. 6HU5006 is the grab bar set screw on its own, with no bar, flange, cover plate, or wall anchors included. If the bar itself is damaged you need a replacement grab bar, not this part.
2) I manage apartment bathrooms and a grab bar is loose at the wall, do I need this screw?
Depends where the looseness is. The 6HU5006 set screw is what clamps the bar to the mounting hardware, so it fixes a bar that spins or shifts on its post. If the whole flange is pulling off the wall, that is an anchoring problem in the substrate and a new set screw will not solve it.
3) Will the 6HU5006 screw work on another brand's grab bar?
Treat it as a TOTO part only. 6HU5006 is TOTO's own grab bar set screw, and set screw thread and length vary by manufacturer, so match it to TOTO grab bar hardware rather than substituting it into a Bobrick, Moen, or Bradley bar.
4) Is the TOTO 6HU5006 set screw a commercial washroom part?
It is catalogued by TOTO as a washroom accessory fastener, which is the grab bar hardware you find in commercial and multi-family restrooms as well as residential baths. For facilities standardizing on TOTO grab bars, this is the consumable screw worth keeping a few of on the MRO shelf.
5) Is there more than one version of TOTO 6HU5006 to choose from?
No. 6HU5006 is a single configuration grab bar set screw, so there is no finish or size decision to make when ordering. Quote the part number as is.
