TOTO THU6251#01 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What is the TOTO THU6251#01 part, and what does it do on the toilet seat?
THU6251#01 is TOTO's deodorizer louver assembly, the side cover assembly that houses the deodorizer filter on a TOTO washlet-style toilet seat. It is a toilet seat part, not a standalone accessory, so it only goes on a seat that was built with a deodorizer vent behind that side cover.
2) What color is the TOTO THU6251#01 side cover assembly?
Cotton, TOTO's white finish, which is what the #01 suffix on the part number designates. If the seat on the fixture is a different TOTO color, the cover will not match and you want the same assembly in that color code instead.
3) I manage a building with TOTO washlet seats and the side panel is cracked. Is this the replacement piece?
If the broken piece is the louvered side cover over the deodorizer vent, yes, THU6251#01 is that assembly in Cotton. Order it against the seat's own model number, since TOTO uses different louver assemblies across seat series and the cover is specific to the seat it was molded for.
4) Does the THU6251#01 include the deodorizer filter itself, or just the cover?
It ships as the side cover assembly, the louver housing that sits over the deodorizer vent. If the carbon filter element inside is what is spent rather than the cover being damaged, that is a separate TOTO filter part and this assembly is not a substitute for it.
5) Is any plumbing work needed to install a TOTO deodorizer louver assembly?
No. It is a seat-mounted cover on the toilet seat, not part of the water supply or drain, so there is no rough-in, no supply line, and no fitting involved. It is a hand-replaceable cosmetic and vent housing piece.
