TOTO THP4952#BN – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What is the TOTO THP4952#BN part, and what does it do?
THP4952#BN is a TOTO lift rod with knob for the Connelly single-handle faucet. The lift rod is the vertical pull behind the spout that raises and lowers the pop-up drain stopper, and the knob is the finger grip on top of it. It is sold as a replacement handle/lift rod assembly, not a complete faucet or drain body.
2) What finish is TOTO THP4952#BN, and will it match my other Connelly trim?
The #BN suffix on the TOTO part number is Brushed Nickel, so the lift rod and knob match Connelly faucet trim ordered in Brushed Nickel. If your faucet is polished chrome or another TOTO finish, the #BN rod will not match and you want the same lift rod in the matching finish suffix.
3) Will the THP4952 lift rod fit a TOTO two-handle or widespread faucet?
No. This lift rod assembly is specified for the Connelly single-handle faucet. Lift rod length and the threaded connection to the drain clevis strap differ between TOTO faucet families, so a rod for a two-handle or widespread model is a different part number. Match the rod to the faucet series you actually have.
4) I just need the stopper knob on my Connelly faucet replaced - do I have to buy the whole rod?
The TOTO THP4952#BN comes as the lift rod with the knob together as one assembly, so you get both pieces in one part. That is useful when the knob is stripped or the rod is bent or pitted, but there is no knob-only breakout in this part number.
5) Does the THP4952#BN include the pop-up drain or the clevis strap?
No, it is the lift rod and knob only. The pop-up drain body, stopper, clevis strap and screw are separate TOTO parts. If the drain linkage under the sink is also worn, order those alongside the rod so the job is finished in one trip.
6) For a multi-family maintenance order, what exactly do I give my supplier for this TOTO Connelly lift rod?
Order by the full TOTO part number including the finish suffix: THP4952#BN. TOTO repair parts are finish-coded, so dropping the #BN gets you the wrong finish. One rod assembly covers one lavatory faucet, so count by sink when standardizing across units.
