TOTO TCU743CR#12 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What exactly is the TOTO TCU743CR#12 part - is it the whole tank or just the lid?
It's the tank lid only, nothing else. The TCU743CR#12 is a replacement toilet tank lid from TOTO for the 743S tank. No tank, no trip lever, no flush valve or fill valve comes with it, so if you broke a lid you're covered, but a cracked tank body means you need a different part.
2) What does the #12 at the end of TCU743CR#12 mean?
On TOTO part numbers the suffix after the hash is the color code, so #12 identifies the finish of this lid. Order the code that matches the rest of your toilet - a lid in the wrong color code will fit the same tank but won't match the bowl and tank you already have.
3) Does the TOTO TCU743CR#12 tank lid need any mounting hardware or a gasket?
No hardware is involved. A TOTO toilet tank lid rests on the rim of the tank under its own weight, so installation is setting it down and centering it. There are no bolts, clips, or gaskets supplied or needed with the TCU743CR#12.
