1) Can I get ABUS 80TI/45 padlocks all on one key for a building?
Yes. The 80TI/45 is ordered either KA (keyed alike, every lock opens on the same key) or KD (keyed different, each lock its own key). A property manager standardizing gates, storage cages and electrical cabinets across a site orders KA so maintenance carries one key. Mixed sites usually order KA in blocks by area rather than one key for the whole property.
2) Can I put my building's existing key system cylinder into an ABUS 80TI/45?
No. The 80TI/45 uses ABUS's own 6-pin precision cylinder with a paracentric keyway, fixed in the body, so it keys within the ABUS system and not to a Schlage, Sargent or Medeco masterkey system. 4) We want audit trail and access control on a padlock - does the ABUS 80TI/45 do that?
No. The ABUS 80TI/45 is a mechanical padlock operated by a 6-pin precision cylinder with a paracentric keyway and a large tulip-shaped key head. For an opening that has to report who opened it and when, the Medeco 54515G XT is an electronic indoor/outdoor padlock in the System Series, non-key retaining, with a 5/16 inch shackle diameter and cylinder included. 5) Does the key come out of the ABUS 80TI/45 when the lock is open?
