The standard banana plugs land in the meter's input jacks, and the molded AC plug goes into the outlet, so you can measure the circuit or inject a tracer signal onto it without stripping anything or opening a device box. The 69357 carries a CAT III 1000V / CAT IV 600V safety rating and is double insulated, so the rating covers distribution-level and service-entrance work. That said, the plug end is made for North American 120V receptacles, so the practical use is energizing or tracing a circuit from an outlet while the meter sits on the banana jacks. Use PPE anywhere live conductors are exposed, and verify the tester on a known live, correctly wired receptacle before each use.
