The ASSA ABLOY ACCENTRA® YPL Series cylindrical lock with status indicators provides enhanced privacy at a glance with it's bold green and red status symbols. This cylindrical lock is the ideal choice for a wide variety of commercial applications where consistent quality, ease of use and installation are required.

The cylindrical lock indicator visually displays door status; whether the door is locked or unlocked, thus eliminating potentially embarrassing situations and providing peace of mind.

YPL02 locks are provided standard with a visual display that shows red with a closed shackle padlock for locked and green with an open shackle padlock for unlocked. The padlock icons are positioned in a manner that allows for the locks to be non-handed.

• The YPL02 installs on 1-3/4" thick doors standard. It can also be used on 1-3/8" thick doors by adding adapter plates. See adapter plate kit model number APK-2.

Installation & Operation

1. Review manufacturer specifications and verify door preparation requirements including 1-3/4" door thickness and 2-3/4" backset compatibility for this lockset.
2. Use manufacturer-provided templates to mark mounting hole locations accurately on door surfaces for standard bored lock preparation.
3. Prepare door by drilling required holes per manufacturer specifications, ensuring proper alignment for through-bolt mounting system.
4. Install all mounting hardware and secure the lockset to door using through-bolt construction per manufacturer torque specifications.
5. Adjust lever operation for proper alignment, latching, and smooth operation with lever return to within 1/2" of door face.
6. Test privacy function operation including pushbutton lock, coin turn emergency access, and visual indicator status changes to verify proper function and make final adjustments as needed. Refer to manufacturer documentation for complete installation details and troubleshooting.
