1) Will the Accentra PBYP42 privacy indicator lock fit a 1-3/8 inch door?
Standard fit is a 1-3/4 inch door. For a 1-3/8 inch door you have to add the adapter plate kit, model APK-2, which is ordered separately. The lock uses a standard bored lock prep either way, so it drops into an existing cylindrical prep on retrofit work as well as new construction.
2) What backset does the Accentra YPL42 indicator lock come with, and can I get 2-3/8 inch?
A 2-3/4 inch backset latch ships standard with the lockset. If your doors are prepped on a 2-3/8 inch backset, order latch part number 378PL instead. Those are the two standard commercial backsets, so check the cross-bore to strike distance on the door before you order.
3) Is the PBYP42 privacy lock handed? Do I need to specify left or right?
