Adams Rite 22-0466-01-628 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) What is the Adams Rite 22-0466-01-628 and what does it fit?
It's the replacement faceplate for the Adams Rite 1877 Flush Bolt, measuring 15-5/8 x 1-1/4 inches in coated aluminum. It's the long exposed plate that covers the bolt body in the door edge, not the bolt mechanism itself. If your bolt still throws and retracts fine but the plate is bent, scratched, or missing, this is the part you need.
2) Will the 22-0466-01-628 faceplate fit a flush bolt other than the Adams Rite 1877?
No. This faceplate is machined for the 1877 Flush Bolt specifically, and the 15-5/8 inch length and 1-1/4 inch width have to match the mortise pocket and screw pattern already cut in your door edge. Flush bolts from other Adams Rite series or other manufacturers use different plate lengths and hole spacing, so verify the bolt you're servicing is an 1877 before ordering.
3) Does ordering this faceplate get me the whole flush bolt, or do I need the bolt too?
You get the faceplate only. It's catalogued as a replacement part for the 1877 Flush Bolt, so the bolt assembly, lever, and rod are not included. If the bolt itself is seized or the throw is broken, order the complete 1877 flush bolt instead of the plate.
4) What finish is the 22-0466-01-628 faceplate, and will it match my other aluminum door hardware?
The plate is coated aluminum in a 628 finish, which is clear anodized aluminum, the standard finish on aluminum storefront and commercial entrance hardware. On a typical aluminum door package it blends with the rest of the Adams Rite trim already on the opening.
5) Is this faceplate rated for heavy traffic commercial openings?
It's a commercial-grade part, listed for commercial rather than residential use, and it's the same component Adams Rite supplies on the original 1877 assembly. Typical installs are office buildings, schools, healthcare, retail, warehouses, multi-tenant residential, and government facilities.
