The Adams Rite 4612 Power Transfer Device provides a secure and unobtrusive means of channeling electrical wiring from the door frame into the door itself for powering electric strikes, locks, exit devices, and other electrical hardware. 1) Will the Adams Rite 4612 power transfer work on a door hung on continuous hinges or offset pivots?
Butt-type hinges, continuous hinges, and pivots offset 3/4 inch or less are all covered by the 4612 power transfer. Beyond 3/4 inch of pivot offset the geometry is outside what the device is designed for, so on a heavily offset pivot door you need a different transfer method. This is the piece that carries wiring from the frame into the door leaf to feed an electric strike, electric lock, or electrified exit device.
2) What is the difference between the 105 degree and 180 degree Adams Rite 4612 power transfer?
Length. The 105 degree version measures 11-1/12 inches long and the 180 degree version 20-5/21 inches.
