Aiphone GT-4ZP - 4-Tenant Video Distribution Adaptor with Power Supplied to Each Station

The GT-4ZP is a 4-way video and power distribution adaptor for the Aiphone GT system. It splits video to four tenant stations and, at the same time, carries power to them, so one PS-2420UL power supply feeds up to four GT-1C7W app-enabled tenant stations instead of one supply per apartment. Each adaptor ships with four GTW-24J power jumpers, which land on the GT-1C7W between the B1/B2 and the +/- terminals. That jumper is what lets the station draw its power off the adaptor's run rather than from a local supply at the unit.

Yes. The GT-4ZP is a drop-in replacement for an existing GT-4Z adaptor in a standard GT system. The difference is what it adds: the GT-4ZP distributes power along with video, so tenant stations no longer each need their own supply. Plan on one PS-2420UL per GT-4ZP.

Two things are not in the box. You need one PS-2420UL 24V DC power supply for each GT-4ZP, and you need a W-DIN11 mounting bracket, which is sold separately. What does come with it is the adaptor plus four GTW-24J power jumpers, one for each tenant station it feeds, so you do not order those separately.

Each GT-4ZP handles four tenant stations, so count in blocks of four: an 8-unit building takes two, a 12-unit takes three, a 20-unit takes five. Every one of those adaptors needs its own PS-2420UL, since a single supply feeds one GT-4ZP and the four GT-1C7W stations on it.

The adaptor measures 4-1/4 x 4-13/16 x 2-3/8 inches (H x W x D). It mounts on a W-DIN11 DIN rail bracket, which is not included, so allow DIN rail space in the enclosure rather than screw-mounting it to a backboard. If you are swapping several GT-4Z units for GT-4ZP units, remember each one now also brings a PS-2420UL supply into the same closet, so check you have the room and the rail length for both.

Rated operating range is 32 to 104 degrees F (0 to 40 C), so it needs a space that stays above freezing. A conditioned electrical or telecom closet is fine. An unheated garage or an exterior enclosure in a cold climate falls outside that range and is not the place for it.

It is commercial-grade multi-tenant gear, built for apartment and condo entries where several units share one entrance panel. A single-family home has one station and no distribution to do, so there is nothing for a 4-way adaptor to split. It belongs on GT systems using GT-1C7W app-enabled tenant stations.
