Length and inside diameter. The AC25 is 25 feet long with a 0.1875 inch I.D., and the AC30 is 30 feet long with a .375 I.D. The larger inside diameter on the AC30 is what matters if you are pulling several conductors or a heavier gauge bundle through it; the AC25's smaller bore suits a lighter run. Pick on how much wire has to pass through, then on the distance you need to cover.

Go by the bundle. The AC30 has a .375 inch inside diameter, roughly double the AC25's 0.1875 inch, so it is the one to use when you are pulling a multi-conductor run for an electrified mortise lock, a monitored strike with position and request-to-exit contacts, or where you want spare conductors left in the loop for future use. The AC25's 0.1875 inch bore handles a small two or four conductor power run.

Two lengths are offered: 25 feet on the AC25 and 30 feet on the AC30. Measure the full path from the power supply or controller enclosure to the door hardware, including the loop at the hinge side and any slack for door swing, not just the straight-line distance. If the measured path is close to 25 feet, order the AC30 for headroom.

The AC25 and AC30 are specified by length and inside diameter only, 0.1875 I.D. and .375 I.D. respectively. Size the cable to the conductor bundle your electric strike, maglock, or electrified lock run requires, and order that wire separately.
