No added resistor is needed. Each LD LED has a built-in resistor and runs on 12 or 24 volts, AC or DC, so it wires straight to the output of a door controller, power supply, or timer without any dropping resistor on the bench.
3) How do the Alarm Controls LD LEDs terminate, and can I splice them into existing wiring?
Each LED comes with 6 inch red and black 20 gauge leads already attached. Red is positive on DC installs. Six inches is short, so for anything beyond the immediate backbox plan on splicing to a run of 18 or 20 gauge to reach the controller.
