1) What does the KAMK suffix mean on the American Lock A1265 padlock?
KAMK means keyed alike and master keyed. Every lock in the order opens on the same change key, and they also open under a master key, so a maintenance lead or property manager can carry one key for the whole group while each site keeps its own. The A1265 family also comes keyed different (A1265KD), keyed alike only (A1265KA), keyed different master keyed (A1265MK), zero-bitted (A1265KZ) and uncombinated (A1265UN).
2) Can the American Lock A1265 be rekeyed later, or do I have to buy new locks?
