A 1/2 inch wedge anchor is set in a 1/2 inch diameter hole drilled with a carbide hammer bit; the anchor body is the same nominal size as the bit. Drill deeper than the intended embedment so cuttings have somewhere to go, then drive the anchor through the fixture and tighten the nut to expand the wedge.
