Metallics WAK14RB – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What size anchor is the Metallics WAK14RB wall anchor kit?
The WAK14RB is a 1/4 inch wall anchor kit from Metallics, supplied zinc plated steel in a 200 piece clam pack. Order by part number WAK14RB.
2) Is the Metallics WAK14RB sold as a kit or as loose anchors?
It ships as a kit, 200 pieces to a clam pack, so a single buy covers a run of device boxes, conduit straps, or fixture mounts rather than a one-off repair.
3) Are the WAK14RB wall anchors corrosion protected for damp locations?
The anchors are zinc plated steel, which gives a basic corrosion coating suited to dry interior walls and protected locations. For wet, exterior, or corrosive environments, specify a stainless anchor instead.
4) What is the Metallics WAK14RB used for on an electrical job?
It is a fastener anchor kit carried on the electrical side, used for anchoring boxes, straps, brackets, and small fixtures into wall material where a screw alone will not hold. The 1/4 inch size is the common range for light to medium device and raceway mounting.
