Metallics WAK8 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What comes in the Metallics WAK8 anchor kit?
The WAK8 is a 1/4 inch green vinyl anchor kit with zinc plated steel screws, packed as a 200 piece clamshell. You get the anchors and the matching screws together, so there is no need to source fasteners separately for the job.
2) Are the screws in the WAK8 kit corrosion resistant?
The screws supplied are steel with zinc plating, which suits dry interior work such as mounting boxes, straps, conduit clips and device plates to drywall or masonry. For wet or exterior locations, specify a stainless or hot dip fastener instead.
3) Is the Metallics WAK8 sold in bulk or as a single pack?
It ships as one 200 piece clamshell of anchors with screws, which is a van stock or MRO cabinet quantity rather than a loose single pack. Order multiples for larger fit outs.
4) What is the manufacturer part number for the Metallics 1/4 green vinyl anchor kit?
Order it as Metallics WAK8. That is the single model on the kit, so there is no finish or size choice to make when specifying it.
