Metallics WAKJ8 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What size anchor is the Metallics WAKJ8 kit and how many come in the jar?
The Metallics WAKJ8 is a 1/4 inch green vinyl collarless anchor kit supplied in a jar of 200 anchors. It is sold under the single model number WAKJ8.
2) What is a collarless vinyl anchor used for on an electrical job?
Collarless plastic anchors like the Metallics WAKJ8 set flush into the drilled hole with no lip left standing proud of the surface, so straps, clamps, boxes and small fixtures seat flat against the wall. The WAKJ8 jar covers 1/4 inch anchor work in masonry and drywall-type substrates, and it is stocked as electrical fastener hardware.
3) Is the Metallics WAKJ8 anchor kit a bulk pack for an MRO crib or a single-job pack?
It ships as a 200 count jar, which is a bulk stocking quantity rather than a job pack. One model, WAKJ8, so it is straightforward to standardize a shop or maintenance cart on a single 1/4 inch anchor rather than mixing sizes.
