Metallics JDIA58 Anchors 5/8 Drop-In Ancr St-zn (Jar 25)

The JDIA58 jar gives you the 25 anchors only. You still need a hammer drill with the matching carbide bit, a setting tool sized for a 5/8 inch drop-in anchor to expand the internal plug, and the 5/8 inch threaded rod, bolts, nuts or washers that carry your load. None of those are included.

Each JDIA58 jar holds 25 anchors. Pack type is a jar rather than a box, which keeps the 5/8 inch anchors together on a cart or in a gang box for repeat overhead work.

Yes. The JDIA58 is a steel anchor with zinc plating, which suits dry interior concrete work such as hanging strut, trapeze, conduit racks and threaded rod drops. Zinc plated steel is not a stainless or hot dip finish, so for wet, exterior or corrosive locations choose a stainless or hot dip galvanized anchor instead.

Pick by whether you need the fixture removable. A drop-in anchor such as the JDIA58 sits flush in the concrete and is internally threaded, so the 5/8 inch rod or bolt can be removed and reinstalled without disturbing the anchor, and nothing sticks out of the slab in the meantime. A wedge anchor has a fixed stud you cannot back out and reuse. For threaded rod drops, strut and trapeze hangers that may be reworked later, the drop-in is the usual choice.
