B-LINE 101024 GRTGV NK – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Does the 101024 GRTGV NK trough come with knockouts already punched?
No. The NK designation means no knockouts, so the sides, ends and bottom come blank and you punch your own openings where the run actually needs them. If you want factory knockouts on a set spacing, the NK version is the wrong part for you.
2) How does the cover attach on this Eaton B-Line wiring trough?
The cover seats on a flange and is held down with plated screws, so it is a screw cover rather than a hinged or latching lid. Plan on unscrewing the cover for any pull or splice work, and keep clearance along the full 24 inch length so the cover can lift off.
3) Is this B-Line trough certified for use on a Canadian job?
The 101024 GRTGV NK carries CSA C22.2 certification, which is the standard an inspector looks for on enclosures north of the border. That's the only listing carried on the part, so specify accordingly if your drawing calls out something else.
4) Can I use this trough outdoors or in a washdown area?
Treat the 101024 GRTGV NK as an indoor, dry-location gutter. It's a gray painted 16 gauge screw-cover trough with no gasket called out and no NEMA rating published for wet or oiltight service, so for exterior or washdown work you want an enclosure specifically rated for that environment.
5) What color does the 101024 wiring trough come in?
Gray only. There's a single model on the part, 101024 GRTGV NK, so there's no finish or size choice to make at order time. If the job requires a painted-to-match or stainless enclosure, this isn't it.
