B-LINE B4068ZN – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What size cable does the B-Line B4068ZN Insuclamp hold?
The B4068ZN is an Insuclamp cable clamp with a 1.375 inch diameter, so it is sized to grip cable with an outside diameter at that 1-3/8 inch figure. If your cable OD is meaningfully larger or smaller, step to a different diameter in the Insuclamp range rather than forcing this one.
2) Is the B-Line B4068ZN cable clamp steel or plastic?
Steel, with an electro-plated finish. That is a clamp body built for supporting cable runs on structure, not a molded plastic strap. The plating gives it a basic corrosion coating for dry indoor and protected environments; for sustained outdoor or washdown exposure, specify a stainless or hot-dip galvanized clamp instead.
3) Should I use an Insuclamp cable clamp or a standard two-hole strap for a single large cable?
An Insuclamp like the B4068ZN is the choice when you are supporting an individual heavy cable at a fixed diameter, in this case 1.375 inches, and want a steel clamp body carrying the load. A two-hole strap is a lighter fastening for smaller conduit and shorter spans. Where the run is multiple parallel cables, a tray or a block-style support is a better fit than one clamp per conductor.
4) Is the B4068ZN a single clamp or a pack?
The B4068ZN is ordered as a single model with one configuration, part number B4068ZN from B-Line. There are no size or finish choices to select on it, so quantity is the only decision you make when you order.
