B-LINE FTA6SDOBLE – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Is the B-Line Flextray FTA6SDOBLE cULus Listed for use as a cable pathway?
Yes, the Eaton B-Line Flextray part FTA6SDOBLE carries a cULus Listing, so it can be specified where the drawing or the inspector calls for a listed wire basket tray pathway in both US and Canadian jurisdictions.
2) Is the black Flextray finish painted steel or stainless?
It is steel with a flat black powder coat, not stainless. The black coat is what data center and exposed-ceiling installers use when the tray is visible from below and needs to disappear against a dark deck. For corrosive or wash-down areas, a plated or stainless Flextray version is the better choice.
3) Will the black powder coat Flextray match the rest of my black tray run?
Yes, if the rest of the run is Eaton B-Line Flextray in the black powder coat option, the finishes are the same flat black. Mixing this with a zinc or pre-galvanized run will show an obvious color break wherever the two meet, so facilities standardizing a ceiling on black should order the black version across all widths and fittings.
4) What is the exact part number to order for the 6 inch black Flextray fitting?
Order Eaton B-Line part number FTA6SDOBLE. That single MPN covers the 6 inch black powder coat steel Flextray item, so there are no separate finish or size suffixes to add.
