B-LINE FTB20CS – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What is the Eaton B-Line FTB20CS shelf bracket used for?
The FTB20CS is a steel shelf bracket for Eaton B-Line Flextray wire basket cable tray. It supports the tray off a wall or structure in a shelf configuration. It is made to be used with the FTSCH channel, which is sold separately and is not included with the bracket.
2) Does the FTB20CS bracket come with the channel or mounting hardware I need?
No. The bracket ships on its own. The FTSCH channel it mounts to is not included, so order the channel and any anchors or fasteners for your wall or deck separately when you plan the run.
3) Is the Eaton B-Line FTB20CS bracket UL listed for cable tray support?
It is cULus Listed, which covers both US and Canadian requirements, so it can be specified on jobs in either country without a separate Canadian listing.
4) How much does the FTB20CS bracket weigh for calculating structure loading?
Each bracket weighs 1.77 lb. On a long run with brackets on regular centers that adds up quickly, so include it with the channel and tray weight when you size anchors into drywall studs, concrete, or a strut trapeze.
