B-LINE ES-72RMA-L – Frequently Asked Questions

1) What is the Eaton B-Line ES-72RMA-L used for in a free standing enclosure?
The ES-72RMA-L is a set of L-shaped rack mounting angles for Eaton B-Line free standing enclosures. The angles bolt into the enclosure frame and give you the vertical rack rails to hang 19-inch EIA panel-mount gear off of, rather than mounting equipment to the back panel. It is an accessory, so the enclosure itself is ordered separately.
2) Will adding these rack angles affect the NEMA rating of my enclosure?
The ES-72RMA-L angles are rated to NEMA 4, so they are intended for enclosures carrying a watertight, hosedown-type rating and do not require any new penetration through the enclosure walls to install. Mounting hardware lands on the internal frame, so the enclosure seal is untouched.
3) Are the Eaton B-Line ES-72RMA-L mounting angles UL Listed?
Yes, the ES-72RMA-L rack mounting angles are UL Listed.
4) Does the ES-72RMA-L come with the enclosure, or do I order it separately?
Separately. The ES-72RMA-L is a free-standing enclosure accessory, ordered by itself and added to an enclosure you already have or are buying alongside it. Plan on also specifying any other internal accessories you need, such as panels or grills, since those are their own part numbers.
5) What finish and material are the B-Line ES-72RMA-L rack angles?
Zinc construction with a yellow zinc finish. That is a plated, conductive finish, which matters if you are bonding rack-mounted equipment to the enclosure frame, and it holds up in the damp, washdown conditions a NEMA 4 enclosure is usually sited in.
