The BKYT12-063-80 is a KwikWire wire rope hanging assembly with a Y Toggle termination, meaning the single 80 inch drop wire splits into two 12 inch legs at the bottom. That Y arrangement is what you use to pick up two points on a fixture, such as the two ends of a linear light or the two sides of a tray or raceway, from one overhead attachment point.

The wire is 80 inches long, so that is the maximum drop from your attachment point before the Y splits into the two 12 inch legs. KwikWire grippers let you take up slack, so you can hang shorter than 80 inches, but you cannot go longer than 80 inches with this part. For deeper plenums, order a longer wire length in the same KwikWire Y toggle family.

The toggle end is made to pass through a hole in the structure or deck and then seat crosswise behind it, so the attachment is the toggle itself rather than a separate anchor at that end. You still need whatever is appropriate at the fixture end for your equipment, and you supply the drilled hole or opening in the supporting member. Nothing about the assembly changes the 80 inch wire or the two 12 inch legs.

A Y assembly like the BKYT12-063-80 picks up two fixture points from one structural attachment, so you drill and hang once instead of twice and the fixture self-levels between the two 12 inch legs. Two separate single-leg wires make more sense when your fixture points are farther apart than the Y legs reach, or when the structure above does not give you a single usable hole between them.

One Y assembly supports two points along a fixture, which is enough for a short run. For a longer linear fixture or a continuous row, plan on a Y at each support location the fixture manufacturer calls out, since each one only reaches the two points its 12 inch legs cover.
