B-LINE SB572108TG – Frequently Asked Questions

1) What is the Eaton B-Line SB572108TG relay rack section actually used for?
It's a Telco style cabling section for an open frame relay rack, used to organize and distribute cable runs alongside rack-mounted equipment. It is the cable management side section, not the equipment mounting rails themselves, so it gets paired with a vertical cable manager sized to your cable count.
2) Do I need to order a vertical cable manager separately with this Telco cabling section?
Yes. The cabling section is the frame member; you select the appropriate vertical cable manager to suit your bundle size and route. Budget for that as a separate line item so the job isn't held up at install.
3) Is the SB572108TG rack section aluminum or steel, and what's the finish?
Aluminum alloy with a flat black powder coat. Aluminum keeps the section light for a 9-foot member and won't rust in a damp riser or basement telecom closet the way bare steel will.
4) What is the exact Eaton B-Line part number for this 108 inch Telco cabling section?
SB572108TG. That's the number to quote for the 108 inch high, 7 inch deep, 6 inch wide aluminum Telco style cabling section in flat black powder coat.
5) Is an open relay rack section the right choice, or should I be looking at an enclosed cabinet?
Open frame is the choice when access and airflow matter more than physical security: you can reach cable from both sides and add vertical managers along the full 108 inch height. If the room is shared, unsecured, or dusty, an enclosed cabinet is the better call, because an open section offers no door, sides, or locking.
