B-LINE SB590119FB – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Will the SB590119FB guard rail bracket line up with a 19 inch equipment rack?
Yes. The bracket is 19 inches wide, which matches the standard 19 inch rack frame width used in open frame relay racks. Depth is 21.88 inches, so allow that much projection in the rack footprint before you commit to a tight wall or row spacing.
2) What is the Eaton B-Line SB590119FB adjustable guard rail support bracket used for?
It is the adjustable guard rail support bracket for Eaton B-Line series open frame racks, made from 12 gauge steel with a flat black powder coat. It mounts to the open rack to carry a guard rail, so cable and equipment on the rack are supported rather than hanging loose off the frame.
3) Is the B-Line guard rail support bracket steel or aluminum, and how is it finished?
Steel, 12 gauge, with a flat black powder coat. That is a painted indoor finish, not galvanizing or stainless, so it suits conditioned telecom and IT rooms rather than wet or corrosive locations.
4) Does the SB590119FB bracket carry a UL listing or any certification?
No certification applies to this bracket. It is a mechanical steel support component for open frame racks, and certifications are listed as not applicable, so do not specify it where a submittal requires a listed assembly.
5) Will the flat black SB590119FB bracket match the black racks already installed in my telecom room?
The bracket carries a flat black powder coat, the same finish B-Line uses on its black open frame racks, so it reads as a matched set rather than an add-on. Note it is flat black, not a gloss black, if you are standardizing appearance across a room.
