B-LINE SB57163D096FB – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Will the Eaton B-Line SB57163D096FB vertical cable manager fit a 7-foot open frame rack?
It is a 96 inch tall section, so it runs the full height of a standard 7-foot (84 inch) open frame rack and then some. Mounted between racks, it stands taller than the rack frame itself, so allow for that in low-clearance rooms and under overhead ladder rack. Overall section measures 96 x 12.75 x 3.625 inches.
2) Can the door on this vertical cable manager be hinged from either side or taken off completely?
The gate is dual hinging and removable, so you can set it to swing left or right depending on which aisle you work from, or pull it off entirely during a large cable pull and reinstall it after dressing. The gate itself is plastic.
3) How wide is the cable channel on the B-Line SB57163D096FB, and is it enough for a switch-heavy cabinet?
The section is 3.625 inches wide with a 12.75 inch depth, so it is a narrow-width manager. That handles patch cord runs and moderate copper bundles between racks. If you are dressing high-density 48-port switch stacks with full patch fields on both sides, plan on a wider channel or a manager on each side of the rack.
4) What part number do I order for the 96 inch black B-Line vertical cabling section?
Order Eaton B-Line MPN SB57163D096FB. That is the 96 inch aluminum section, 12.75 inch deep by 3.625 inch wide, with the dual hinging removable plastic gate in flat black powder coat.
5) Will this black finish match the rest of my black open frame racks?
The finish is a flat black powder coat, the same finish family Eaton B-Line uses across its black open frame rack line, so it reads consistent down a row of racks. There is only one finish on this section, so there is no color option to specify when ordering.
