B-LINE SB114518NYL – Frequently Asked Questions

1) What bolt size does the B-Line SB114518NYL nylon sleeve kit fit?
The Eaton B-Line nylon headed sleeve kit is made for 5/16"-18 bolts. It is a nylon sleeve and washer set used to isolate the bolted connection on open frame racks, so the sleeve must match the bolt diameter and thread to seat correctly. If your rack hardware is a different size, this kit will not work.
2) Is a washer included with the B-Line nylon sleeve kit, or do I order that separately?
A sleeve washer is included. The Eaton B-Line SB114518NYL ships as a kit with the nylon headed sleeve and its washer, so you get both halves of the isolating hardware in one part number.
3) What material and finish is the B-Line SB114518NYL sleeve, and why does that matter for rack grounding?
It is molded nylon with a natural finish. Nylon is non-conductive, which is the whole point of a headed sleeve and washer on an open frame rack: it electrically isolates the bolt from the rack member or panel so you control where the ground path runs instead of letting every bolted joint carry it.
4) What are the dimensions of the B-Line nylon headed sleeve so I can check it against my panel hole?
The sleeve measures .356 in height, .75 in length/depth, and .06 in width as published. The .356 in figure is the length called out in the part description, and the .06 in wall figure is what determines whether the sleeve will pass through your mounting hole around a 5/16 in bolt.
5) Does the B-Line SB114518NYL sleeve kit come in other bolt sizes or colors?
This part number is a single configuration: nylon, natural finish, sized for 5/16"-18. There are no size or color options to pick on SB114518NYL. For a different bolt diameter or thread you need a different B-Line sleeve part number.
6) What is the part number and weight of the B-Line nylon sleeve kit for my order and freight paperwork?
Order it as Eaton B-Line SB114518NYL. Each kit weighs .003 lb, so it adds nothing meaningful to a shipment; if you are isolating a full rack of bolted joints, count the number of bolts and order one kit per bolt.
