B-LINE SB592423X1NB – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What is the B-Line SB592423X1NB bumper rail extension used for on an open frame rack?
It's a bumper rail extension for the network bay of Eaton B-Line series open frame racks. It bolts onto the rack frame and gives cable and equipment a padded edge at the bay opening. The part ships with (4) #12-24 bolts and nuts, so no separate hardware pack is needed to mount it.
2) Do I need to buy #12-24 hardware separately for this B-Line bumper rail extension?
No. Four #12-24 bolts and nuts come with the SB592423X1NB extension. #12-24 is the thread B-Line uses on its open frame rack rails, so the included hardware threads into the same rack punchings your other accessories use.
3) What is the exact part number to order for the Eaton B-Line network bay bumper rail extension?
Order MPN SB592423X1NB. It's the single configuration of this bumper rail extension, Network Blue steel, 23.88 inches wide, with the #12-24 mounting hardware in the box.
4) What color is the B-Line network bay bumper rail extension, and will it match my existing racks?
Network Blue. That is B-Line's color for its network bay products, so it matches network-blue open frame racks and bays already installed. If your racks are black, this part will not color-match.
5) Is the B-Line bumper rail extension steel or plastic?
Steel. It's a formed steel extension weighing 3.56 lb, so it takes the knocks of a working network bay rather than cracking the way a molded plastic bumper can.
