B-LINE SB592423X3NB – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What is the Eaton B-Line SB592423X3NB bumper rail extension used for?
It's a steel bumper rail extension for Eaton B-Line series open frame (two-post/four-post style) racks, finished in Network Blue for network bay builds. It measures 23.88 in wide, 3 in deep and 1 in high, and ships with four #12-24 bolts and nuts for mounting to the rack.
2) Does the B-Line bumper rail extension come with mounting hardware, or do I need to order bolts separately?
Mounting hardware is included: four #12-24 bolts and nuts come with the extension. #12-24 is the thread B-Line open frame racks are tapped for, so nothing else is needed to bolt it on.
3) Will a 23.88 inch bumper rail extension fit a standard 19 inch equipment rack?
Yes. The 23.88 in width spans the full outside width of a B-Line open frame rack, not the 19 in EIA mounting space between rails, so it lands on the frame rather than in the panel opening. It is built for the B-Line series open frame racks, so match it to that frame rather than a generic enclosure.
4) Is the Network Blue color going to match my existing B-Line network bay racks?
Network Blue is B-Line's standard network bay color, and this extension is supplied in it, so it matches racks and accessories ordered in the same Network Blue finish. If your existing frames are black, the blue will stand out.
5) What part number should I put on the PO for the B-Line network bay bumper rail extension?
Order Eaton B-Line MPN SB592423X3NB. That is the Network Blue, steel bumper rail extension for network bays, single configuration, no handing or size options to specify.
