B-Line Eaton series pipe clamps and accessories, 8.68" height, 10" length, Steel, Standard pipe clamp, Plain

The B3140-10PLN is sized for 10 inch pipe. That size is the clamp's governing dimension, so it will not close down on smaller pipe, use the matching size in the B3140 range for anything other than 10 inch.

Plain finish steel, no coating. That suits dry interior mechanical rooms and conditioned spaces. For damp, exterior, or corrosive runs you want a galvanized version of the same clamp rather than the plain one.

Each clamp weighs 13.66 lb. Add that to the pipe and contents weight when you size the rod, anchor, and structural attachment above it.

The clamp stands 8.68 inches high, so allow at least that much between the pipe and the structure above, plus rod and nut length. In tight ceiling plenums that height is often what decides whether a standard pipe clamp works or whether you need a different support style.

What ships is the steel clamp itself. Threaded rod, nuts, and the beam or concrete attachment at the top are ordered separately and sized to the run, so plan on those as a separate line on the order.

A standard pipe clamp like the B3140 grips the pipe and hangs from a single rod, which is the usual pick for vertical or riser support and for straight horizontal runs where you want the pipe held rather than cradled. A clevis hanger lets the pipe move and is the common choice where thermal expansion or insulation shields are in play. Pick by whether you need the pipe held in place or free to move.

The B3140-10PLN is a plain steel mechanical support component and carries no certification marking. Specify it by size, material, and finish rather than by a listing mark.
