B-LINE SB78706FB – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What does the B-Line SB78706FB runway dropout kit actually do on a cable runway?
It gives cable a curved exit path off the runway. The SB78706FB is a universal drop-out that provides a smooth radius for cable exit, so fiber and copper bends down to a rack or cabinet without a sharp edge at the runway rail. It is aluminum with a flat black powder coat finish.
2) Is the B-Line SB78706FB dropout UL Listed for a data center or telecom room install?
Yes, the SB78706FB carries a UL Listed marking. That is the rating stated for the part, which matters when an inspector or a facility spec calls for listed runway accessories.
3) How much space do I need to leave under the runway for a B-Line SB78706FB dropout?
Plan around a part measuring 4 x 4 x 5.44 inches (height, length/depth, width as published). That is the envelope the drop-out occupies where it mounts at the runway, so allow that clearance before you lay out rack positions or overhead ladder spacing.
4) Will the black finish on this dropout match my existing black cable runway?
The finish is flat black powder coat over aluminum, which is the standard black runway finish Eaton B-Line uses across the series, so it reads consistently with black runway and black waterfall accessories already in the room.
5) Is this a single dropout or a full waterfall for the whole runway width?
The SB78706FB is one universal drop-out, roughly 5.44 inches across. For a wide runway where cable exits at several points, order multiples and space them where the bundles break out rather than expecting one piece to span the full rail width.
