B-LINE SB2129SD09TG – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What does a side drop-out on a cable runway actually do?
A side drop-out mounts on the side stringer of a cable runway and gives cable a radiused path to leave the runway and drop down to a rack or cabinet without bending over a sharp steel edge. The Eaton B-Line SB2129SD09TG is the side version, so it turns cable off the side of the run rather than off the end.
2) How wide is the B-Line SB2129SD09TG drop-out and will it match my runway stringer?
It measures 7.75 in wide with a 4 in height and 4 in length/depth, so it fits the side of a standard runway stringer run and projects about 4 in. Check the 7.75 in dimension against the clear space beside your runway before you order a batch.
3) What is this dropout made of, and will the finish match my existing B-Line runway?
ASTM A36 steel, 14 gauge, finished in Telco gray powder coat. Telco gray is the standard B-Line runway color, so it matches gray B-Line ladder rack already in the room.
4) What part number do I quote for the B-Line Telco gray side drop-out?
Eaton B-Line SB2129SD09TG. That single model number covers the 14 gauge steel side drop-out in Telco gray, with no finish or size options to specify.
5) How much does one B-Line side drop-out weigh for load planning?
1.8 lb each. Light enough that a run of them adds little to the runway's own load, which matters when you are hanging long spans off threaded rod or wall angle.
