The B-Line B42SH is a 1-5/8 inch wide channel (1.62 in) with a 1 inch channel height, so it takes standard 1-5/8 inch strut nuts, clamps and fittings on the open face. The shallow 1 inch profile is the half-height version of the common 1-5/8 x 1-5/8 strut, so fittings that bolt to the channel face interchange, but anything that has to seat inside a full-depth 1-5/8 inch deep channel will not.

SH is the slotted-hole back pattern: the channel back is punched with slots on regular centers, so you can lag or bolt it straight to studs, block or deck without drilling, and slide the fastener along the slot to pick up structure. If you want a solid back with no punching, you would order the plain B42 instead of the B42SH.

DURA GREEN is B-Line's green epoxy paint finish over the 12 gauge steel channel. It is a coating, so it handles indoor damp and general mechanical room duty well, but cut ends and drilled holes expose bare steel and should be touched up. For continuous outdoor exposure or wet corrosive areas, a hot dip galvanized or stainless channel is the better call.
