B-LINE B768-52ZN – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Do I need to buy hardware separately to install a B768 tee strut joiner?
No extra fasteners needed for the joiner itself. The B768-52ZN ships with 3 cam screws, which is one per leg of the tee, so you can make the connection out of the box.
2) Is the B768-52ZN tee joiner UL Listed for electrical work?
Yes, the B768-52ZN carries a UL Listing, which is what most electrical inspectors and institutional specs want to see on strut fittings used to support raceway and equipment.
3) How thick is the steel on the B768-52ZN strut tee, and is it heavy enough for a support run?
It is 12 gauge steel, the standard plate thickness B-Line uses for strut fittings of this class. The piece itself measures .81 x 4.5 x 1.62 inches and weighs .52 lb.
4) Can I use the zinc-plated B768 strut tee outdoors or in a wet area?
The finish is electro-plated zinc, which is a light indoor-duty coating. It is fine for dry interior mechanical rooms, ceilings, and electrical rooms. For exterior, rooftop, or washdown locations you want a hot-dip galvanized or stainless fitting instead.
